Artist's Statement:

Art has been my love and passion since I was a small child with a crayon in my hand. I loved teaching art to young children because most children have such a freshness and excitement about their world. I hope to never totally lose that childlike spontaneity.

My favorite artists are Picasso, Cezanne and Van Gogh. I am especially intrigued by nature’s organic shapes and rhythms and also in how man-made objects relate to nature.

Art is as much the process of creation as it is the object of creation...each work starts the wheels turning to explore something else.

My main concentration is in watercolor and ceramics, but because of my art education background, I have dabbled in a wide range of art media such as metal sculpture, jewelry, printmaking, fabric arts and oils.
